The teens have been very busy this year.  Not only are they learning leadership skills and participating in community service here in Washington County, they are getting involved with district and state level 4-H programs as well.   They started the spring by participating in the 4-H Financial Game Day in Ada County.  Our group had an especially good showing at this event, and one of our members, Jade Hoskins won the top prize of the day—a Kindle Fire tablet.

Earlier in the year, Mja Towner represented the group at  Know Your Government (KYG) in Boise at the Capitol in February.  Five of our teens participated in

the southern district Ambassadors Retreat in McCall in May and three of our teens are on their way to Moscow for Idaho 4-H State Teen Association Convention (STAC).   The teens have been able to take advantage of the opportunity to attend some of these events partially through the generosity of the 4-H Leaders Council Scholarship program.

The Washington County Teen Leaders group is open for all youth in sixth grade and up.
