The Weiser City Police have said  a fond farewell to Officer Chris Hagans. Hagans began his service with the WCPD back in 1988 as a Reserve. In 1993 he became a patrolman and since then has held many titles for the department. Hagans has been the liaison for both the Reserves and the Citizens on Patrol, a detective and ended his career as the School Resource Officer.

In a small celebration Hagans shared this statement with his fellow officers, “When I first started out it didn't seem like this day would ever come. It gets here way before you know it.” Hagens last day was September 15 and he ended the day watching the Wolverine football team play against Baker. Hagens is grateful for his career in law enforcement, speaking to those he served with he said, “It has in deed been an honor to work with you guys. You each have helped me.” Although Hagans has retired from the WCPD he is not ready to stop serving his community. Hagans is one of the candidates running for City Council this fall.
