The end of the year will soon be here! Have you and your family used your dental benefits? As with most policies you are given a dollar amount that you can utilize throughout the year, but if you do not use it then you lose it! Typically, dental insurance companies set their benefits on a calendar year beginning on January 1st and then ending on December 31st.  Although, there are a few that set their calendar year at the first of different months and ending 12 months later, the majority cycle January to December.
You have paid for and/or worked all year for your dental benefits! Don’t let them expire without getting the work you need done!  Once the clock strikes midnight on December 31st your 2017 dental benefits will be gone forever!  No rollover benefits to use the following year! No rewards or points for not using them! Just gone!
This time of year, seems to be busier than any other time of the year. Holidays, school, sports, and of course shopping! It may also seem like the time of year that you wouldn't want to spend any more money, but, you are giving the Insurance companies a bonus by not using the benefits during the calendar year. Who wants to give away money to people for no good cause? I think we can all agree that we would all rather spend it on our own health or our family's.
Studies show that there have been estimates of as much as 75% of dental benefits that are not used! If you think of it like most think of their cell phone bills, then you would be paying for minutes you never used! No one likes the thought of that!
This time of year, at Dille Dental, we like to take a moment to check on our patients benefits and help them get the most out of what they have available. We plan for the end of the year also by having some days on our schedule that would accommodate early and late appointments! We would be more than happy to do a complimentary check of your insurance benefits too!
Far too many people wait until they are in severe pain to use these benefits.  Let us help you before you are in pain!  We can do a treatment plan to help you maximize this year’s benefits and plan for next year as well.  Please give us a call before it's too late!
