Monday, January 8th at the beginning of the monthly City Council meeting, new council members, Alicia Cavazos, Randy Hibberd, and Dan Randleman were sworn into their positions. All three took the time to share their thoughts on their new position. “I am very thankful to be able to serve the people of Weiser and look forward to the responsibility and just being able to serve,” stated council member Hibberd. Council member Randleman shared his thought on returning to the council,  “On the way down here tonight I was really excited. I am happy to be back on the council. It’s going to be exciting, it’s kinda like being on the board of a multimillion dollar corporation. Not only that, the local government is the only government that can really help the people. That's exciting to me and I look forward to it.” Council member Alicia Cavazos stated, “This first meeting was great and I am really excited to serve Weiser. Thank you to everybody who voted. We have different committees that we have been assigned to and I am really excited to get out there and learn everything about what makes Weiser run.” Congratulations to our new City Council members, we look forward to your service. A big thank you to retiring council members Virgil Leedy, Perry Plischke, and Sherry Young.
