Mrs. Hall's 8th grade homeroom is sponsoring a food drive in conjunction with football's biggest game of the year.   It is called the," Souper Bowl of Caring."  During the week the students will be given information about the need for food in our community and around the country.  Posters around the school will identify the percent of children with food deficits. They are always amazed at the amount of children who only get to eat one meal a day.
Each student and staff member are challenged to bring one item each or one dollar to help with the situation locally.  All food donations will go to LOVE Inc. and financial donations will go to Rose Advocates. This will be Weiser Middle School's 14th year of participation.  Over the last 13 years we have donated over $6,000 to local charities and almost 24,000 food items.  We hope to break the 25,000 mark with this year's drive.  Our collection week will run from January 29th through the February 2nd.  If community members would like to make food or monetary donations, they can drop them off at the Middle School office anytime during the week.
