When I walked this morning it’s was 20 degrees, but clear.  Well, it was clear if I didn’t look through my glasses, which were fogged over.  I was determined to make at least a mile, so I persevered.  But I’ve got to tell you, I was wondering about my sanity about half way through.  If nothing else, I at least accomplished one goal for today.
                The center was given a PRODIGI unit, it’s a device for people that have low vision.  It magnifies whatever is put into it on a screen so that it can be seen.  If any of you need such a device, we will be happy to lend it out to you.  Just call me here at the center and I will make arrangements with you.  We also have a variety of health aides to lend out as well.  Bath benches, walkers, toilets and toilet seat risers, canes, wheel chairs etc.  If you find yourself in need of equipment, give us a call first, we might be able to help you out.  The number to call for any of these services is 208-257-3358.
                Next Monday, February 26th, is the foot clinic, so for any of you needing your toenails clipped, this week is the time to call.  There are still a few appointments left. Just call me at the number listed above.  I will make sure your name gets on the list.
                We still have a few items that haven’t been picked from the silent auction.  I noticed that when I made the forms, I forgot to put a place for phone numbers, so we may not have been able to contact you.  Please give me a call, if you bid on something but haven’t heard from us.  It could be that you did win, but we weren’t able to contact you.
                I’m here today, but I think my mind is on holiday.  I just don’t have much to say.  So, I will give you the menu for the week ahead and call it good.  This Wednesday, February 21st at noon, we are having Hamburger Steak in Mushroom Gravy, mashed potatoes, salad, rolls, beets and bread pudding.  Then on Friday, February 23 at 5:30 PM we are serving Vegetable beef soup, ham sandwiches, salad, mixed fruit and dessert.  On the last day of the month, Wednesday, February 28th at noon, Fried chicken heads the menu, with mashed potatoes and gravy, corn coleslaw, rolls and oatmeal cake.
