The 2018 Progressive Agriculture Safety Day was a huge Success with 76 participants and 80 volunteers! We would like to say a huge thank you to our volunteers and great sponsors for making this day possible. We had nine eventful stations that included, PTO Safety, Hidden Hazards, Fire Safety, 911 Safety, Water Safety, First Aid, Electrical Safety, Survival Skills, and Pinch Point Safety. All stations were ran by our generous volunteers. We also had a registration crew that consisted of Karen Meyer, Jackie Edwards, Chris Braun, Julia Harrison, Lizzy Allender. We also had an amazing Kitchen Crew who served morning and afternoon snack, as well as lunch for all participants and volunteers. We would also like to thank two individuals that truly made this day happen, Shari and Dave Kuther, who traveled from Nez Perce, and attended national Progressive Agriculture Safety Day training to help coordinate this wonderful event. Another huge thank you goes to Jodie Mink and Tyler Waggoner along with the Cambridge FFA Alumni for all being willing to help assist us whenever we needed.
The Cambridge Farm Safety Day was open to four to fifthteen year olds, and many had great things to say about our events. One of the Turnbull Ranch participants said, “I really liked Pinch Point Safety, and watching the hotdog hands get cut off. It was funny to watch, but also taught me a lot.” We had tons of great compliments from kids, volunteers, Facebook users, and would like to thank every individual who participated in anyway. Our goal was to teach kids, and keep them safe in their endeavors. Once again another huge thank you to our volunteers and major event sponsors, Weiser River Cattle Association, and B&E Advertising Outlet that made this event possible!
