Austin Brock Robbins Jr

October 5th, 1930 – April 20th, 2019

Austin Brock Robbins Jr. 88, of Weiser died peacefully in his sleep on April 20, 2019 with his wife and son by his side. Brock as he was well known, was born on October 5,1930 in Salem, Nebraska to Grace and Austin Robbins Sr.. He was the second born child of three and in 1937 the family moved to Ontario, Oregon where he graduated from Ontario High School in 1948. He Married his High school sweet Heart, Ruth Dearborn, on June 12, 1949. Brock had many interests such as hunting, fishing and his children’s activities. After marriage they settled in New Plymouth working for a local farmer. He also worked for the Oregon State Experiment farm in Ontario, OR and later bought 80 acres in Ontario to start his own farm. In 1956 Brock and Ruth moved to a 640 acre ranch in Cambridge, ID where he achieved his life long dream of running a cattle ranch. Together they raised their four children along with making many memories with future generations. Brocks other life time achievements included being a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge, active member of 4H and FFA where he received his Oregon State farmer degree. He served his community by being an active 4H leader and member of the Washington county fair board. Brock also served two terms on the Consumer Co-Op board of directors. In 2004 Brock and Ruth retired from the ranch and moved to Weiser, ID where they have enjoyed watching their great grandchildren excel in numerous sports activities. Brock was preceeded in death by his parents, two sisters, Darlene Robbins of Baker, Oregon and Ione Wells, of Nampa, Idaho and son in Law, Don Henderson of Gresham, Oregon. He is survived by his wife Ruth Robbins of Weiser, his daughter Carrie Henderson, of Gresham, Oregon, daughter and son in law, Nancy and Doyle Lawrence of Lewiston, Idaho, son and daughter in law, Ron and Lori Robbins, of Weiser, Idaho, son and daughter in law Wes and Kathy Robbins, of Pace, Florida, 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Weiser Community Church, May 2, 2019 at 11am, viewing at 10am, graveside to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Weiser Community Church, Kitchen Remodel Project, 240 E. Main St., Weiser, ID. 83672. Condolences may be sent to the family at HarenWood@msn.com.
