Jessii Moser is a new addition to the University of Idaho Extension Washington County as the 4-H Youth Development Program Coordinator. Born and raised in Weiser, Idaho, a part of the Washington county 4-H program for 10 years, a member of the local FFA chapter for 4 years, and serving as an AmeriCorps member in our office previously, Jessii is looking forward to helping our 4-H program grow and develop.
She was a very accomplished member throughout her years at the Washington County fair winning Grand Champion market swine, Reserve Grand Champion market swine Grand Champion swine showman, Grand Champion horse showman, Grand Champion Round Robin showman, Outstanding 4-H Livestock member, and the recipient of the Julie Kerner Memorial Award in her last year of 4-H. Jessii is also involved in our local 4-H club program as a leader of the Mann Creek 4-H club. She has fully embraced this role and is looking forward to the opportunity to educate youth about agricultural issues, while working to teach valuable life lessons. Her involvement in 4-H goes beyond 4-H and FFA animal projects, as Jessii also held a position as an Ameri-Corps member through the University of Idaho Extension Office in Washington County.
During her time as an AmeriCorps volunteer, Jessii offered enrichment lessons for all ages of youth through the “BEST” Program afterschool and STEM and robotics activities for afterschool and day camps. Her AmeriCorps position allowed her to expand her knowledge of what the 4-H program has to offer to the youth in our community, beyond animal projects and the local county fair. Jessii is excited to see what the program has to offer and as an individual who has been positively impacted by the program, she would like to work towards enriching the opportunities within 4-H to ultimately increase interest and enrollment in the program.
