Rodney Dean Huggins
January 1st, 1964 - January 2nd, 2018
January 2nd, 2018 a loving husband and dear friend was taken away from us way too soon, Rodney Dean Huggins passed away in his sleep in the middle of the night. Anyone that knew Rod, knew that he was full of life and full of love. He was one of the most giving human beings anyone could have had the pleasure of knowing. He was known for taking in strays, whether they had four legs or two he was always willing to lend a helping hand and an open door to anyone who needed it. If you needed a place to stay, whether it be a night or a month, he never hesitated to help. He lived his life freely taking in every moment, making sure he lived it to the fullest. In his younger days he loved anything that had a motor and went fast! Whether it be race cars, snowmobiles or motorcycles, he drove them all and loved every second of it. He loved his wife Jeannie fiercely, making sure she never wanted for anything and always knew how special she was to him. The love they had for one another was an once in a lifetime kind of love that can never be replaced. Second to his wife were his close friends, it was very rare you saw Rod around town without his wife and friends with him. He was able to spend his last night alive surrounded by his wife and loving friends celebrating his birthday, laughing and eating some of his favorite foods. Before laying down to go to sleep that night, he told his wife that it was the best birthday party he had ever had. Losing this great man, has left a hole in our lives that will never be filled again. Those who knew him are thankful for all the memories that were created with him.
"What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal" -- Albert Pike
