Dear Parents and Guardians of Pioneer School Students,
The health and safety of our students and staff is always a priority, and we monitor school conditions continuously. At this time we have a significant percentage of Pioneer School staff who are out of school due to illness. Due to staff limitations, as well as the shortage of substitute teachers in our district, it is necessary that we take measures right now that will allow enough staff the time they need to return to work healthy. Therefore, we are closing Pioneer School to in-person learning for STUDENTS on Thursday and Friday this week, November 12th and 13th. Teachers at Pioneer will assemble materials that students can complete at home (either online or in packets) for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.In order to provide parents time to prepare, Pioneer WILL BE IN SESSION for students tomorrow, Tuesday, November 10th.Pioneer is the ONLY school in the Weiser School District that will be closed at the time of this posting. Pioneer students may still receive a breakfast and lunch at the community serve location at Weiser Middle School between 11:00 am and 12:30 pm on days that school would normally be in session.We plan to have Pioneer students back in school on Monday, November 16th. If something changes and it becomes necessary to extend the closure, we will post the closure to our website and send out an InTouch call by 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 15th. If nothing is posted, then Pioneer is back in school.Please be diligent in your efforts to remain healthy by practicing excellent hygiene, maintaining distance from others whenever possible, wearing a mask when distancing expectations cannot be met, and by staying home when ill.

Estimados padres y tutores de los estudiantes de Pioneer School,
La salud y seguridad de nuestros estudiantes y personal es siempre una prioridad y monitoreamos las condiciones escolares continuamente.
En este momento, tenemos un porcentaje significativo del personal de la Escuela Pioneer que no asiste a la escuela debido a una enfermedad. Debido a las limitaciones del personal, así como a la escasez de maestros sustitutos en nuestro distrito, es necesario que tomemos medidas ahora mismo que le permitan al personal suficiente el tiempo que necesitan para regresar al trabajo de manera saludable.Por lo tanto, vamos a cerrar Pioneer School para el aprendizaje en persona para ESTUDIANTES el jueves y viernes de esta semana, 12 y 13 de noviembre. Los maestros de Pioneer reunirán materiales que los estudiantes pueden completar en casa (ya sea en línea o en paquetes) para el miércoles, jueves y viernes.Para que los padres tengan tiempo para prepararse, Pioneer ESTARÁ EN SESIÓN para los estudiantes mañana, martes, 10 de noviembre. Pioneer es la ÚNICA escuela en el distrito escolar de Weiser que estará cerrada al momento de esta publicación. Los estudiantes de Pioneer aún pueden recibir un desayuno y almuerzo en el lugar de servicio comunitario en la Escuela Intermedia de Weiser entre las 11:00 am y las 12:30 pm los días en que la escuela normalmente estaría en sesión.
