Weiser’s Own “Toys for Tots” Powers On

Continuing the annual tradition, Michael and Malissa Campbell have reported that they are for sure doing the “Toys for Tots” gift program this year.  They were unable to have the annual auction at Ole’s Tavern, which is the main event that brings in 90% of the funding to bring Christmas to local children.  However, they are excited to announce that they did get enough donations to make it work this year.

Each year, “Toys for Tots” (not affiliated with the Marine Toys for Tots) receives auction items from local businesses and individuals.  Private donations are also dropped off to help fund the program.  They have never had to turn anyone away in the past.  Unfortunately, without the auction, their funds are limited but with what they have, “Toys for Tots” will be able to help children age 1 to 14.  Michael Campbell explained that they will help as many children as they can with limited funds this year.  Along with the Campbell’s, there is a large group of people who all pitch in to make this program a success each year.  Most of these generous people wish to remain unnamed.  “We love what we do,” said Michael, “and we are only a small part of a big group of people…who make this possible.”

The deadline for taking names is December 20th.  Parents or guardians of children in need are encouraged to get in touch with them.  Due to COVID, they will be doing gift pick-up a bit differently this year.  Pickup will still take place at Quality Auto, but people will be encouraged to remain in their vehicles as they bring gifts out.

To find out more details on how you can help or sign a child up, please contact Michael or Malissa Campbell or Brenda at Quality Auto (208-549-2541).
