To give bigheartedly to others in a community without looking for acknowledgement is both commendable and worthy of the honor as the 2021 grand marshal for the National Oldtime Fiddlers Contest and Festival Parade.
Toby and Dana Clary were recently surprised with the announcement that they did not expect.
Selecting the Clary’s was without a doubt the right decision and it was unanimous, shared Patrick Nauman. The parade committee assembled recently to discuss a few nominations that were presented to the group. When it came to conversation about the Clary’s, the committee had wonderful things to say about them. “They have done so much for the community and something everyone kept coming back to was the Thanksgiving dinner Toby and Dana put on each year,” Nauman explained. The committee talked about their history of volunteer work, being involved in community events, and always having an attitude of giving.
The parade committee strives to find people who give a lot of their time and skills to the Weiser Community, but also performs a lot of tasks behind the scenes. The Clary’s are dedicated community members who love the town, the people, and the traditions. The committee wanted to honor and recognize them as people who have served to shape our amazing little community.
Toby Clary is the new owner of Small Town Fitness where he loves making friendships through hard work and dedication to fitness. Dana Clary has been the owner of The Flower Basket for the last 14 years and has recently listed it for sale. Battling MS has brought a hard struggle for Dana as she saw sales explode through the pandemic. Anyone who knows the Clary’s know how hard-working they are and truly devoted to their love for community.
Please share in the exciting news by congratulating Toby and Dana Clary! A well-deserved accolade as the 2021 Grand Marshal!
