4th of July Payette Chamber & Senior Center Funday Interview

The Payette Community & Senior Center, in partnership with the Payette Chamber of Commerce, brought the community together for a memorable 4th of July celebration at Kiwanis Park. The day-long festivities showcased the best of small-town America with activities for all ages.

The celebration kicked off at 11:00 AM with parade participants lining up at 2nd Avenue and Main Street. At noon, the parade made its way down Main Street, ending at Central Park, where the real fun began.

From 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Kiwanis Park transformed into a hub of community activity. Local vendors and food trucks filled the park, offering everything from classic fair treats to hearty meals. The afternoon featured dedicated family fun from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, including:

– Kids carnival games

– Face painting

– Hot dogs, cotton candy, and popcorn

– Cookie bar

– Races for children ages 3-14

The event highlighted the strong community spirit that defines Payette. The Payette Community & Senior Center organized a “1000 Meals Food Drive,” encouraging families to donate two cans of non-perishable, protein-rich food items in exchange for a free meal of hot dog, chips, and water.

As evening approached, the Payette Chamber of Commerce took center stage with “Music in the Park” from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Local food and craft vendors continued serving the community while Double Diamond hosted a bar, and “Lauren and the Nostalgics” provided live entertainment.

Sponsors Make It Possible

The successful event was made possible through the generous support of local sponsors, including Edgewood Assisted Living, Ancora Health Services, 1st Security Bank, Horizon, Payette Syringa Lions, Scotch Pines, and Brookdale, demonstrating the collaborative spirit that makes Payette’s celebrations special.

The 4th of July Family Fun Day perfectly captured the essence of Independence Day – bringing neighbors together to celebrate freedom, community, and the values that bind us together as Americans.
