I am Lisa Collini, the conservative Republican candidate running for Washington County Central Committee Precinct Committeewoman in Weiser Precinct #4.
The purpose of the Washington County Central Committee is to vet candidates and then support and endorse the strongest Republican candidates.
Perhaps the most important job of the Central Committee is that in the event a County Commissioner vacates his or her office, the Central Committee recommends three names to the Governor from which he chooses an interim County Commissioner to fill the vacated seat until the next election.
Also, if an elected official in Washington County vacates his or her office, and that would include the office of the County Prosecuting Attorney, the Treasurer, the Sheriff, the Coroner, the Assessor or the Clerk, then the Central Committee recommends three names to the Board of County Commissioners from which they choose a person to fill the vacated seat until the next election.
It is also the Central Committee’s responsibility to conduct voter-registration drives and get-out-the-vote drives and to provide information to voters regarding issues and candidates so that we can turn out every possible Republican vote on election day.
What voters have told me, and what I believe, is that we want elected representatives who will fight for and defend our rights. Here in our county, probably the strongest is property rights and our Second Amendment rights. We need strong Republican candidates in Washington County and at the State level who will work for us and who will fight for and defend our rights.
I will work hard for the Republican voters of our county to vet and endorse strong Republican candidates that you can be proud to vote for.
