Western Idaho celebrated rural traditions and family fun during the 78th Annual Payette County Fair, held August 8-10, 2024, at the Payette County Fairgrounds in New Plymouth. The three-day event showcased the agricultural heritage and community spirit that has made this fair a beloved summer tradition for nearly eight decades, offering everything from 4-H livestock competitions to thrilling rodeo performances for visitors of all ages.
The heart of the fair remained its agricultural exhibits, featuring extensive 4-H and FFA competitions where young exhibitors from across the region brought their finest livestock, including breeding and market beef cattle. The 4-H Building buzzed with activity as participants displayed projects ranging from baking and crafts to gardening, demonstrating months of hard work and learning. Open Class exhibits provided opportunities for adult participants to showcase their talents across various categories.
