Washington County 4-H Shooting Sports was fortunate enough to receive the Gratitude Grant from the local Elks Lodge this year. This grant funding will be used to start a new shooting program within Washington County, allowing youth to find their 4-H spark in new and exciting project areas. Shooting Sports is currently the fastest growing project area in 4-H nationwide and allows kids to gain other experiences rather than just livestock. Youth will be able to participate in rifle, pistol, and archery programs this year, with hopes of expansion into other disciplines in the future. Thank you to all who have made this possible, Washington County Extension is grateful to the Elks for their support of our programs.
