MTE Donates Free WiFi to Weiser School District and the Public for Use During Games Held at Memorial Park

Recently MTE purchased and donated the necessary equipment to provide a WiFi signal down at Memorial Park for the Weiser School District and public to use during games held at that location. According to Megan Warren, Marketing Coordinator for MTE, “That Wifi signal will be free and open to the public for use during sporting events so they can live stream the game for family and friends that are out of town or ill and can’t make it to the game.”

Warren shared that the WiFi was used for the first time last week and that they received great feedback from those who enjoyed the new service. She shared that MTE wants to find ways they can support the community and give back. They spoke with the school district about this being a way they could help and with their approval they were able to do this. “We just want to be out in the community and we saw a need for this. The kids and our schools in our community are something we really want to promote. We saw this as a really great way to do that. We are grateful to be able to provide this to the community”

Currently MTE has given Weiser High Athletic Director, Bo Von Brethorst, the control over the network so that he will be able to set the network up for games as well as for the use of the athletic department to use for any purposes they may need.
