BASIC, hosted by the Idaho Division of Career Technical Student Organizations, is an event designed to provide comprehensive leadership training. This gathering offers an opportunity to expand your network, fostering connections not only within your CTSO but also among peers and other CTSOs. Attendees can look forward to making new friends, gaining valuable insights, and exploring a range of topics including recruitment, fundraising, and communications, all aimed at elevating student leadership capabilities. These topics were talked about with the purpose to bring this information back to their organizations and use.
“BASIC opens up the eyes of emerging leaders who want to expand their networking opportunities” Dom Hughes said in a quick interview.
One of the officers from Payette is Jesse Saunders, although he isn’t a chapter officer. He is the State V.P. for Competitive Events for FCCLA. He was voted in last year during FCCLA’s State Conference.
Saunders said “BASIC was a great opportunity for students to grow on the basic leadership principles. I had lots of fun running the last few events around the state.”
More pictures from the event will be posted soon.
