On 3/22/16 the Washington County Democratic Caucus took place at the Weiser Public Library and the turn out was unexpected. I am not sure of the exact numbers, but an estimated 110 people were in attendance! Bernie Sanders took the majority of votes over Hillary Clinton 2-1 in the first and second round of voting. Washington County delegates were selected with Carol Bogue representing Bernie Sanders (Jerry Bogue as alternate), and Lucas Hiner representing Hillary Clinton (Tracy Benzie as alternate). On a side note: The Washington County Democrats meet the 4th Tuesday of every month at the Library to discuss current affairs, and these meetings are open to anyone who wants to attend. Please contact the library for further information.
