I want to thank my “Ghost Writer” for filling in for me while I am recuperating from my last bout with COVID. This one sure took the wind out of my sails. I’ve heard from a few other people who have had it, and they all said it lasts about three weeks.
I got it on December 14th, so I’m down to the last week starting today. I’m not contagious, but I’m struggling with tiredness. In the grand scheme of things, this is but a blip on the radar screen of life.
I hope you have all managed to stay healthy during this time. I am excited to see you all on January 3, 2025.
The first board meeting of 2025 will be held on Wednesday, January 8th, at 1:30 p.m. Pat Britzius will be here that same day for our Blood Pressure clinic. Our food Pantry will be on Wednesday, January 15th, and our monthly shopping trip to Ontario will be on Thursday, January 16th. Our monthly Foot Clinic will be held on Monday, January 27th.
I will be working on Menus this afternoon, so when we return on January 3rd, there will be copies on the front table for you to take home. In the meantime, here is the menu for the next two weeks:
Wednesday, January 1st: CLOSED
Friday, January 3rd: Spaghetti with meat sauce, Garden Salad, Mixed Fruit, Green Beans, Garlic Bread, and Ice Cream for dessert.
Wednesday, January 8th: Meatloaf, Baked Potatoes, Peas, Peaches, Wheat Rolls, Salad, and Zucchini Cake.
Friday, January 10th: Ham and Beans, Garden Salad, Corn Bread, Peaches and Berries, Mixed vegetables, and Dessert.
