New Plymouth High School Unveils $3.2 Million Agriculture Building
On April 30, 2025, New Plymouth High School celebrated the opening of its state-of-the-art $3.2 million Agriculture Building with an unconventional twist: instead of a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, a student used bolt cutters to cut a chain, symbolizing the start of a new era for the school’s agricultural program.
Located at 310 SE Park Ave, adjacent to the high school, the new facility was officially introduced during an Open House, allowing students, parents, and community members to tour the innovative space designed for hands-on learning and agricultural innovation.
Chase Shoemaker, the school’s agriculture advisor, emphasized the building’s significance, stating, “This new facility represents a significant investment in the future of our students, our school, and our community. It will serve as a hub for hands-on learning, agricultural innovation, and career development.”
The Agriculture Building is expected to enhance educational opportunities for students, providing them with the resources needed to excel in the rapidly evolving agricultural sector.
The community looks forward to seeing how this investment will foster growth and innovation among New Plymouth students.
