On the last Saturday of April, a wave of compassion sweeps through the region of Malheur, Payette, and Washington Counties as Community Serve Day brings together residents dedicated to creating a better community.
Established in 2011, this nonprofit organization has become a pivotal force in connecting volunteers with local projects to uplift and support neighborhoods in need.
With over 1,800 volunteers participating in more than 120 projects, this annual event is more than just a day of service; it proves the power of community spirit. From beautifying parks helping pantries that deliver meals to those in need, volunteers roll up their sleeves to make a tangible impact across nine different communities.
It’s incredible to see individuals, organizations, churches, and nonprofits come together, united by the desire to serve our neighbors and enhance our local environment.
Next year, the call for volunteers is louder than ever. Community organizations, churches, and individuals are invited to roll up their sleeves and join forces on this special day of action.
