Two Wolverine seniors set to continue athletic careers at the collegiate level
WEISER, Idaho — Weiser High School celebrated the academic and athletic achievements of two standout senior student-athletes on Tuesday as they signed their commitments to continue their careers at the collegiate level.
Kailee Lerew has committed to Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, where she will compete in both Track & Field and Cross Country while pursuing a degree in Health & Exercise Science. Meanwhile, Madilyn Wilkins has committed to Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri, where she will join the Vikings’ volleyball program and major in Nursing.
Lerew: Track Star Heading to the Northwest

Kailee Lerew has established herself as one of Idaho’s premier track athletes during her time at Weiser High School. She is a two-time Idaho state champion in the 400m event, winning titles in both 2023 and 2024. Additionally, she was part of Weiser’s state championship 4x400m relay teams in 2022 and 2023.
Lerew’s accomplishments helped lead the Wolverines to back-to-back state track team championships in 2023 and 2024, cementing the program’s status as a powerhouse in Idaho high school athletics.
While primarily known for her track achievements, Lerew has also excelled in cross country despite only competing in the sport for two years. Her versatility and range as a runner made her an attractive recruit for Lewis & Clark’s program.
During the signing ceremony, Lerew expressed enthusiasm about competing at the collegiate level while pursuing her academic interests in Health & Exercise Science at Lewis & Clark College.
Wilkins: Volleyball Standout Heading to Missouri Valley

Madilyn Wilkins has been a key contributor to Weiser High School’s volleyball program throughout her high school career. As a skilled player, she has helped the Wolverines remain competitive in Idaho’s challenging 3A classification.
Wilkins will be taking her talents to Missouri Valley College, an NAIA institution where she’ll join the Vikings volleyball program. The school competes in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
At the signing, Wilkins shared her longtime goal of continuing her volleyball career while pursuing nursing studies. She looks forward to the opportunity Missouri Valley College offers to balance her athletic and academic aspirations.
Her commitment to pursuing nursing demonstrates her dedication to academic excellence alongside her athletic pursuits.
Both athletes credited their high school coaches, teammates, and families for supporting their athletic and academic development. The signings were attended by family members, coaches, school administrators, and fellow students celebrating their achievements. The school community looks forward to following their collegiate careers.
Lerew and Wilkins will graduate with the Weiser High School Class of 2025 before beginning their collegiate careers next fall.
