Those that attended the Weiser Activity Center for Seniors Thursday’s Fiddle Week Breakfast Fundraiser, were treated to special guests that sat in with the talented Gem State Fiddlers. Not only did they enjoy a wonderful breakfast but also a taste of remarkable musical talent from young performers that came by from The National Oldtime Fiddlers’ Contest. Leading the entertainment was 14-year-old Tristan Paskvan from Southlake, Texas, he is a National Fiddle Champion. He was followed by the very talented 14-year-old Megan Nave from Bend, Oregon, who holds the title of Oregon State Fiddle Champion. The two fiddlers set an energetic tone for the morning before handing the microphone to another rising star. Fiddling third was 13-year-old Max Francis from Victoria, British Columbia. Also a National Fiddle Champion, Max enchanted the audience with his vibrant playing style. The young musician is also promoting his new CD and music book, showcasing original songs written and performed by him, which will be available for sale at Weiser High School through Saturday. The performance was an amazing addition to the breakfast, highlighting the community spirit and the joy of live music.
