July 26, 2025, Weiser, Idaho.
On Saturday around 5:00pm, Weiser Fire District responded swiftly to a reported grass fire in the 400 block of East Galloway. Upon arrival, crews discovered not only active flames in the dry grass but also a shed was fully engulfed in fire.
Despite high temperatures and dry conditions, firefighters acted quickly and were able to extinguish the flames before they could spread further. The shed was unfortunately a total loss, but thanks to the rapid response and coordinated efforts, surrounding structures and property were protected.
Also assisting at the scene were the Weiser City Police Department, the City of Weiser Power Department, and Washington County Ambulance. Their presence ensured the safety and support of all personnel working under challenging conditions. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
