Attending the Washington County Comission meeting Monday, August 4th I wanted to ‘ Public Comment’.
My public comment would simply be this: FUND THE SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT. Washington County is short deputies. Fund the sheriff’s department whatever the Sheriff says he needs, fund them! You either fund or defund law enforcement.
Currently Washington County is deciding to defund our sheriff’s department.
Safety is fundamental to the reason of governments existence.
