I am jotting down a few things for today’s column to clear my weekend for things I should be doing at home. Unfortunately, my mind is blank at the moment, so I’m going to apply the KISS principle (keep it simple, stupid).
On Wednesday, August 13th, we will have our regular monthly board meeting, starting at 1:15 p.m. It’s an open meeting, and if you’d like to attend, please feel free to do so. The meeting usually lasts for one hour.
I hate to mention that we have elections in December to replace retiring board members, but there you have it. The cat’s out of the bag, so to speak. Please start thinking about whether you have qualities, ideas, or experience that you might bring to the board as a board member, which will enrich the Senior Center moving forward.
Our Bring Your Own Project group meets at the Senior Center at two O’Clock on Thursday, August 14th. Everyone is welcome.
Our monthly Food Pantry is on Wednesday, August 20th, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. If you wish to donate to the pantry, we need canned meats, peanut butter, jams, and jelly.
Our monthly Shopping trip to Ontario is on Thursday, August 28th. The sign-up sheet is on the front table.
Our Foot clinic is held on the fourth Monday of each month. Our next foot clinic is on Monday, August 25th. Appointments are needed. Please feel free to call 208-257-3358 to set up a time. The cost of this service is $20 or $2 a toe!
Menu:
Wednesday, August 13th: Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Garden Salad, Wheat Roll, Mixed Vegetables, Peaches, and Bread Pudding.
Friday, August 15th: Combination, Canadian Bacon, or Chicken Alfredo Pizzas, Salad, Peaches, and Dessert.
Wednesday, August 20th: Swedish Meat Balls, Rice, Peas, Garden Salad, Roll, Mandarin Oranges, and Cherry Cheesecake.
Happy trails to you, until we meet again! Whose theme song was that? Have a great week, everyone!
