Payette Graduate Earns Prestigious American FFA Degree

Colton Smith, a 2024 graduate of Payette High School, has been awarded the American FFA Degree, the highest honor bestowed upon FFA members. Smith is among just ~75 Idaho students selected for this prestigious recognition in 2025.

The American FFA Degree represents years of dedication to agricultural education and supervised agricultural experiences. This elite achievement is awarded to less than one percent of all FFA members nationwide, making it a truly exceptional accomplishment.

According to the Idaho FFA Association, this prestigious degree serves as “a true symbol of dedication, awarded to members who have demonstrated years of dedication to the FFA, agricultural education, and supervised agricultural experiences.”

Smith will represent Idaho on the national stage this fall at the 98th National FFA Convention, where he and fellow degree recipients will be formally recognized for their outstanding achievements.

The recognition highlights not only Smith’s individual commitment to agricultural education but also reflects the strong FFA program at Payette High School and the support of the local agricultural community.

Congratulations to Colton Smith on this remarkable achievement that will serve him well as he continues his journey in agriculture and beyond.
