Press Release from the Weiser Police Department
On August 20, 2025, at approximately 10:47 a.m., Officers from the Weiser Police Department were dispatched to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision near the intersection of Sunset Drive and Westlawn Avenue in Weiser.
Personnel from the Weiser Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Weiser Rural Fire Department, and Weiser Ambulance arrived on scene and immediately initiated lifesaving measures. The patient was rapidly transported to Weiser Memorial Hospital, where the victim later succumbed to their injuries.
This incident remains under active investigation by the Weiser Police Department. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
