PAYETTE, Idaho — Payette County will host its second public Townhall on Tuesday, October 14, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Payette County Courthouse, 1130 3rd Ave N in Payette.
The Townhall will feature a panel discussion with County Commissioners, the Sheriff, County Clerk, and community representatives, followed by an optional guided tour of the existing jail facility. Panelists will provide updates on the jail facility plan, share results from the recent community survey, and discuss the challenges with the current jail.
Topics to be covered include:
- Updates on the jail facility plan
- Challenges with the current facility
- Results of the community survey
- Proposed relocation and concept for a new jail
- The November 4th bond measure
