Weiser Care of Cascadia recently welcomed a new administrator, David Olsen, to their healthcare team. They also said goodbye to Mark Dudley, former administrator. Dudley has moved to another sister building as Olsen settles into his new role.
David Olsen, originally from Utah, received his undergraduate in Rexburg, Idaho. He earned his master’s degree in Health Care Administration/Management in Arizona at Grand Canyon University. Olsen gained experience in his five years working for a hospital in Phoenix. He became interested in Cascadia after seeing a job opening and then attending months of training in Meridian, Idaho, last year where he became acquainted with Mark Dudley.
Currently, Olsen and his wife, along with five children, live in Meridian but they recently purchased a home in Weiser and are in the process of moving so that they are close to his new position at Weiser Care of Cascadia. Olsen shared that his wife is excited for the small-town setting. “So far, I love it here!” he commented. Rural areas like Weiser have a special appeal and Olsen’s family is thrilled to become a part of it.
He hopes to become a “force for good” for the healthcare center where they strive to provide the best personalized care for their patients. Olsen is experienced in management, making improvements to programs and overall productivity, and training. He has a strong healthcare background and is confident that he will up for the challenge of taking on a new facility.
