Paws & Pals 4-H Club Presents Blessing Box to Weiser Community

The Washington County Paws & Pals 4-H Club recently completed their annual community service project and this year they decided to create a Blessing Box for the community.  Created with love and an assortment of essential items, this adorable bright green structure is meant to provide for those in need.  Whether it be a hungry individual, a homeless person, or a child needing supplies they cannot get at home – this club project was a way to support people in need who may prefer the anonymity of a Blessing Box.

The box was installed at the Weiser City Park next to the Police Station on East Court St.  The Paws & Pals club stocked the box with non-perishable food items and toiletries.  Community members are welcome to stop and take what they need and leave non-perishables for others to use.  As a community, we can all be responsible for “monitoring” the box by making sure it is clean, safe, and stocked for those in need.

Those who visit the Blessing Box can feel safe in knowing they can stay anonymous.  There is no limit to who visits and how many items you take.  Respect for the project and keeping the community involved in honoring the project will ensure that it continues to be a blessing to those in need.  It is their hope that the community will embrace the project, be kind, and give items when they can.
