The students of Weiser High School are excited to announce that they will be performing “The Lady Pirates of Captain Bree,” an exciting musical about the swashbuckling tale of a group of tough, free-spirited lady pirates. Directed by Mike Turner, auditions were held in December and rehearsals have been going on since early January. The 35 member cast, mainly (but not all) high school students, have had lots of fun rehearsing scenes and preparing for the showings.
Due to covid-19 restrictions, only 40% of the auditorium can be full during the performances. Tickets are now available for online purchase. If there are any left over from online sales, they will be available for purchase at the door. The performance dates are March 8th, 10th, 12th and 13th. The cast, crew, and director would love to see you at one or more of the performances. Mr. Turner said, “It’s definitely been a challenge given the conditions, but the cast has responded well. We have some incredibly talented and hardworking performers and this is a fun show. I think it’s just the right fusion of great talent and carefree show that is really fun. The cast has worked hard on their swashbuckling skills with learning swordplay and stage combat.”
