Arrow-Heart Supporting Rose Advocates

By Stephen F. Fenske

Each and every year, Arrow-Heart Adventure Camp teens show their Compassion for others by making fleece throw blankets and donating them to worthy organizations. Over the past few years, we’ve made donations to the Ronald McDonald House in Boise and Rose Advocates in Payette. Last year’s pandemic prevented us from donating blankets to St. Luke’s Children Hospital. Therefore, we donated the blankets to our favorite local organization, Rose Advocates of Weiser. It gives my teens a feeling of joy and reflects the compassion they have for others.

Each of our members practices the 6 C’s of Leadership, “CHARACTER, COMMUNICATION, COMMITMENT, CRITICAL-THINKING, COURAGE AND COMPASSION”.

We are recruiting new members this month and will be making new blankets before the end of the month to donate.
