I started this column on Friday, some of you may have gotten an email with nothing but the subject line. I went home early because a horse that I thought was getting better from colic had died while I was at work. Even though I knew there wasn’t anything I could do at that point, I choose to go home and take care of that business.
Thank heavens for friends, and neighbors, who had a backhoe and could come and help me out. She is now buried, but my old mule is beside herself. Her buddy is gone. I know how that feels, to lose a friend. She will be lost for a while.
I received a call from Bill Sorenson, who told me that they were holding a memorial service for Beth Bramble on May 10th at 11 a.m in the VFW hall in Midvale. I told him that I would let everyone know that reads my column. He asked that I make sure that everyone knew that they were welcome to come. So here you have it, my informal notice to any of you that knew Beth and Bill, you are welcome to come to her memorial service.
This is the last week of April, Actually the last dau of April is on Wednesday, April 30th. On Thursday May 1st, from 6 to 8 p.m., we are having our monthly BINGO Game. I went to the last one, and it was fun. I particularly liked the family atmosphere that included kids from different age groups. If you are looking for an enjoyable evening out either for yourself or with kids, why not think about taking them to BINGO night at the Senior Center.
Light refreshments are provided.
We are still looking for a van driver for the seniors. It’s for two days a week and will begin August 1st. Please let me know if you would be interested, or know of someone else that might be. Please call 208-257-3358.
Our food Pantry, has had slim pickings for the past little while. Donations from members in the community, as well as Lovelands, have helped to fill in the gaps, but we could still use help with Creals, Pasta Sauce, Canned Meats and Fruit Jellies or Jam. Thank you in advance for any help you are able to offer.
