If you are a casual painter who paints for your own pleasure, the Cambridge Midvale Goodrich Senior Center is offering space for you to join other like-minded folks to bring your own projects to work on. There’s no teacher and no cost; you bring your own painting supplies. But there is plenty of conversation and collaboration. If this concept interests you, we will meet on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month, from 2:30 until 4:30 p.m.
The first meeting is today, Thursday, July 24th. I know this won’t reach you in time to participate today, but the next meetings will be on August 14th and August 28th. It’s a wonderful opportunity to socialize with other like-minded individuals and create beautiful projects.
On another note, our Split the Pot fundraiser is progressing nicely. You can buy tickets here at the senior center whenever we are open. Those times are:
Monday through Friday Mornings at our Coffee Club from 8 to 10 a.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, Afternoons from 2 to 4 p.m.
You don’t need to be a senior to participate. The fundraiser is open to any adult in our community.
Our Ice Cream Social is on Friday, August 1st, from 4 to 7 p.m. A big scoop of vanilla ice cream will cost $2, and you can add as many sprinkles and flavored syrups as you want. Kids with a Coupon will get $1 off the total cost.
We will have our Bingo Game from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 7th. All are welcome.

Friday, August 1st: Spaghetti with Meat sauce, French Garlic Bread, Garden Salad, Peaches, and Berry Crisp.
Wednesday, August 6th: Baked Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, Green Beans, Roll, Garden Salad, Apricots, Pineapple Dump Cake.
Friday, August 8th: Costco All-Beef Hot Dog, French Fries, Green Salad, Peaches, and Dessert.
