This is the last week of our Split the Pot fundraiser, and this is your last chance to join in the fun. Who knows, you may even be the winner. We will find out on September 3rd when we hold the drawing here at the center. Don’t miss out; get your tickets today!
Our next bus trip to Ontario is on Thursday, August 28th. If you would like to ride with us, there are several seats available. For more information, call me at the Senior Center (208) 257-3358. That sums up the activities for August here at the Senior Center.
In September 2025, we start the month with a rousing game of BINGO on Thursday evening, September 4th. We play from 6 to 8 PM, and light refreshments are provided. The evening is open to everyone. Families are welcome. Luckily, Friday isn’t a school day, so hopefully it won’t cause too much of a problem with the Kids’ bedtimes. In fact, it might be a motivational tool for parents to use, if the kids enjoy playing, to encourage things like doing homework or rewarding good behavior. I’m sure you can come up with other ideas as well.
Then, on Friday, September 12th, we are having a “Baked Potato Bar” fundraiser from 5 to 7 p.m. We will have most everything a person could want to put on top of or inside a baked potato: Chili con carne, Sour Cream, Chopped Green Onions, Bacon, Butter, Jalapenos, Shredded Cheddar Cheese, Guacamole, Salsa, and more. A beverage and dessert are included with the meal. The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children (12 and under). We will not be serving a noon meal on September 12th.
Come Hungry and leave Happy. Support your local Senior Center. I hope to see you here on Friday, September 12th.
It’s time for the Menu for the week:
Friday, August 30th: Clam Chowder, Ham Sandwiches, Green Salad, Mixed Fruit, and Carrot Cake.
Wednesday, September 3rd: Beer-battered fish fillets, Rice Pilaf, Coleslaw, Cornbread, Peaches, and Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Friday, September 5th: Taco Salad, Corn Tortilla chips,

Have a wonderful and safe Labor Day weekend. I will see you all next week. Cheers!
