It’s that time again—the dreaded month-end reports. Actually, it’s not so bad. I can remember when everything was done by hand: writing reports, making copies of the originals, and sending the finished product through snail mail to its final destination. Talk about a long and arduous process, and our due dates were still the same as they are now.
Now it’s a breeze. As long as I’ve input the information correctly, it goes quickly, and I scan and send it. “Easy Peasy”, as the saying goes.
Our next Bingo game is on Thursday, October 2nd. It’s a family affair, and kids of all ages are welcome to play. The game starts at six and ends at eight O’clock. Light refreshments are provided. That evening, we will also be starting another Split the Pot fundraiser. I can’t find my notes with the exact dates, beginning, and ending, but I will have them next week for you.
Our next board meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 8th, at 1:15 PM. Our next Community Food Pantry is on Wednesday, October 15th, from 1:30 to 3 PM. There isn’t much to choose from at the Idaho food bank, but we do the best we can with what we can order. If you would like to make a food donation to the pantry, we need canned meats, cereals, jams, and Jelly. Peanut butter is also a favorite. Please call the center at 208-257-3358 for more information.
Brad Talbutt from SHIBA (Senior Health Insurance Benefits Advisors) will be here on Wednesday, October 29th, at noon to speak to us about Medicare open enrollment, and for individual appointments to determine which programs might be best for you. If you want a personal appointment, please call 1 (800) 247-4422 to schedule yours.
We will have a Flu shot clinic in October. I’m just waiting for a call back from Adams County Health Clinic. As soon as I know, you will know.

Wednesday, October 1st: Meatloaf, Baked Potato with butter and sour cream, Mixed vegetables, Garden Salad, pears, Wheat dinner roll, and Orange Brownies.
Friday, October 3rd: Macaroni and Cheese Casserole, Stewed Tomatoes, Tossed Green Salad, Pears, Bran Muffins, and dessert.
Wednesday, October 8th: Baked Ham, Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes, Peas, Wheat Roll, Green Salad, Peaches, and Pineapple Dump Cake.
Have a great weekend, everyone. I will see you all next week.
