Many came to enjoy a delightful spring afternoon at the May Day Tea Party, hosted by the Snake River Heritage Center, commonly known as the Weiser Museum. This festive event took place on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, bringing together community members for an afternoon filled with fun, culture, and, of course, a tea party.
Kicking off the festivities, guests were treated to a traditional May Pole Dance on the front lawn. This charming performance set a vibrant tone for the day, encouraging merriment and participation from all ages. Following the dance, attendees were serenaded by talented students from the Victoria Arriero Studio (VAS), who showcased their skills with lively renditions of popular 1920s music at the museum’s front steps, transporting guests back in time.
In addition to the entertainment, visitors were invited to explore four floors of fascinating exhibits during free tours of the museum, allowing them to immerse themselves in local history and heritage. While discovering the rich narratives housed within the museum’s walls, participants made their way to the Tea Room, where the highlight of the event awaited them: a delightful tea party featuring an assortment of adorable little sandwiches, fresh fruit, and a variety of beverages, including unique teas for sampling.
The event encouraged casual dress but playfully suggested attendees don some casual 1920s outfits, adding to the festive ambiance and nostalgic feel of the gathering.
