Cruise State Street (Transcribed from LIVE Video)

(Transcribed from LIVE Video Earlier Today)

Alex:  So, we are here with Tabitha and Christy.  We have some exciting news, don’t we?  You put your heads together and came up with a brilliant idea.

Tabitha:  It started out as a joke when people on Facebook were upset about the parade and they were like well we will just do our own, and then it just kind of progressed into what we have now which is a cruise style.

Alex:  And this cruise has been approved not only by the Mayor but our Weiser PD so we can actually do some things.  Why don’t you give us some details?

Tabitha:  So, we are going to have Santa Joe give out candy (Santa Clause! Haha!) and then we will have a mailbox for kids to drop off Santa letters.

Alex:  Where is this at, the Signal?

Christy:  I think that will be at the high school temporarily for the cruise.

Alex: So where does the cruise start?

Tabitha:  The cruise will travel down State Street.  There is no starting point or end point.  People can jump in wherever they feel comfortable.  People can leave wherever they feel comfortable.  We did it that way for social distancing.

Alex:  Ok great, anything else you want to add?

Christy:  Santa Clause will be at the High School from 6pm to 8pm and he will have little goodies to pass out.  People don’t have to rush in at 6pm, so anytime between 6pm and 8pm.  We are expecting to have a line.

Alex:  I think we need to respect Santa, so we don’t want to get out of cars or get out for pictures because Santa is old, and we don’t want him to get sick.

Tabitha:  Also, the city will put on the fireworks at 8:30pm at Memorial Park.

Christy:  It is going to be cold so staying inside your cars for social distancing is best.

Tabitha:  We also need to add that the Signal Tour of Lights is happening and while you visit Santa at the High School, they will be handing out maps for the Tour of Lights.

Alex:  So, we have Santa from 6pm to 8pm, the Signal is doing their Tour of Lights, and then the Nazarene Church is having their drive through nativity scene.  Then fireworks at Memorial Park at 8:30pm.  So, it’s going to be a busy night and all safe for everyone.  Make sure you bring your cocoa and thermoses.

Alex:  I appreciate you two and I know there are others who have helped out.  A lot of people encouraged this and you guys stepped in there to make it happen.  You just had your meeting with the mayor to confirm that everything is going to happen.  Alright, we appreciate everybody!  And we appreciate everyone for watching LivingintheNews.com
