On May 30, 2025, at approximately 2:31 AM, Ontario Fire & Rescue (OFR) was dispatched to the area of 267 SW 6th Street for an apartment building on fire. OFR Rescue One responded with a crew of three and arrived to find a two story residence and and a one story residence fully involved at the corner of SW 3rd Avenue and SW 6th Street, with other nearby structures threatened. The primary structures involved were under construction. OFR requested mutual aid assistance from Payette and Fruitland fire departments. Crews worked for several hours to contain the blaze. A neighboring residence was also damaged in the fire. In total, five engines, 2 support vehicles, and an ambulance from Treasure Valley Paramedics assisted in the operation. There are no reports of injuries. Ontario Police Department and the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the cause of the fire.Â
