Born in Council, Idaho in 1964, I have been a lifetime Washington County resident. My family arrived in The Salubria Valley (Cambridge), ID in 1866 where they built a ranch that was cared for and loved for five generations. I graduated from Cambridge High School in 1982, when I then went to Vo Tech (Ag Diesel) school at College of Southern Idaho (CSI). Upon completing my education at CSI, I returned to the family ranch in Cambridge where I worked and maintained it until 2018. In 2018, my family came to the difficult decision to retire the ranch after 152 years.
My wife of 27 years, Maryanne Wilkerson, and I are retired. Together we have two daughters, who also reside in the Washington County area. I have been blessed with three precious gifts, one granddaughter (10 years old) and two grandsons (4 years old and 2 months old). I enjoy The Great Outdoors: hunting, fishing, UTV riding, boating, horses, and classic cars and pickups.
Running our family ranch has given me decades of experience as an effective leader. I work well in challenging and diverse environments and am able to find solutions to problems. I am also able to work as an active team member in any teamwork setting.
I believe an elected official should show professionalism, integrity, and respect. These beliefs are why I am running for Washington County Commissioner. As a conservative Republican, you can count on me to be open, honest, and accessible to the Washington County citizens. I strive to preserve the Washington County rural lifestyle and culture by guiding growth in a direction that will not take away from our natural resources. By doing so, this will preserve the future for generations to come.
