Thursday, November 10th Idaho Governor Brad Little appointed Anne-Marie Kelso as Payette County Commissioner. Kelso is a graduate of the University of California where she received her Bachelor’s degree and she received her Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific. Kelso served as the Payette County Prosecutor and Deputy Prosecutor between 1998 and 2017. She currently is the Director of Legal and Human Resources and the Adjunct Instructor at Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Oregon.
“I am grateful to the central committee for trusting me and selecting me from a very qualified group of candidates. I am honored to have been appointed by Governor Little and I look forward to serving the people of Payette County. There are many complex issues facing Payette County today. I believe my experience and knowledge will help lead the County in a positive direction. I have the utmost respect for Commissioners Hrizuk and Riebe and look forward to working with them, along with all the elected officials and staff.,” stated Kelso.
Kelso will be replacing District 1 Commissioner Georgia Hanigan who resigned back in October. Hanigan’s term was set to end in 2024, Kelso will complete this term.
