Cub Scout troops 330, 335, and 388 came together Tuesday, February 28th for their annual Blue and Gold Banquet. The Blue and Gold Banquet is a birthday celebration for the Cub Scout program. This year’s theme was “Knights in shining armor”. For the banquet scouts and their fathers made cakes decorated to fit the theme. “All the scouts from the dens contributed castles made from recycled cardboard”, Webelos Den leader Linda Drake shared. “It’s a big night of the year where we can bring the families together.”Adult Leaders were awarded at the banquet for On My Honor and Wood Badge. Also awarded was the National Youth Leadership Training to Michael Dispain. The night wouldn’t be complete without learning about the knight era. The Sawtooth Renaissance Players presented information on the style of dress, jewelry, and weapons of the time period. They even put on a sword fight for the scouts and their families. Happy Birthday to the Cub Scout program!
