At approximately 5:04 AM on Wednesday (5/10/23) the Weiser Fire District was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 1364 Airport Rd. Upon arrive WFD found a residential structure that was fully involved. All the residents were confirmed to be out of the structure, they were treated at the scene and transported to Weiser Hospital to be treated for their injuries. Sadly, they did lose several pets to the fire.
The fire was contained to the main residence, which unfortunately was a total loss. The fire did not spread to the adjacent shop building and barn. The fire’s origin and cause are undetermined and still under investigation.
Weiser Fire District was assisted on scene by Fruitland, Ontario, New Plymouth and Nyssa Fire Departments with fire ground operations and support by Washington County Paramedics and Washington County Sheriff. Fire investigation was led by the Idaho State Fire Marshalls office. The homeowner is being assisted by the Red Cross and local family.
