Idaho Muscle Classic Announces Local Man a Champion! “Weiser’s got a champion, baby!”

Paul Becker, originally from Queens, New York, has lived in Weiser for almost two years now and his family loves the small-town life.  Becker has spent the last 25 years running an online business in which he sells bodybuilding, fitness, and weight loss supplements.  He also provides informational products and fitness consulting by phone and email.  Becker offers one-on-one personal training for locals in his private studio gym.  Fitness and bodybuilding have been a huge part of his life, but never had he considered doing a competition.

At 58 years old, Becker has been into fitness since the age of 16.  Busy with life, responsibilities, family, and business, there never seemed to be time to even think about preparing for a competition.  On New Years Day of 2021, he decided he was not going to put it off any longer.  Training and dieting for a bodybuilding competition became his new goal!  He had until early June of 2021 to get into the best shape of his life.

Becker competed in the Idaho Muscle Classic competition on June 5th, 2021, which is held in Boise, Idaho.  His goal was to win in his weight class.  After applying 25 years of knowledge on fitness, proper diet, and goal setting, Becker met his fitness goals, looking physically lean and in the best of shape.  “When the MC announced Paul Becker from Weiser, Idaho, he pronounced it Wiser, and some people in the audience yelled back ‘It’s Weiser!’ and he corrected himself,” Becker shared.  The MC announced Becker as the first-place winner in his weight class!  “Weiser’s got a champion, baby!” shouted the MC.

When asked what he did to reach his goals, Becker explained that he increased his normal fitness routine for the competition.  “For the contest, I was doing weights up to 6 days a week, cardio every day and was on an extremely strict high protein, low fat and moderate carbohydrate diet.  Mostly eating egg whites, chicken, tuna, vegetables, oatmeal, rice and yams.”  Becker also shared that he is immensely proud of his accomplishment and so proud to be able to bring home a trophy to represent Weiser in the Idaho Muscle Classic.
