We would like to introduce you to Wicked Wrench Garage and Automotive. This small-town automotive repair facility is nestled between the medical facilities of Fruitland, Idaho at 1010 NW 16th St. This business opened in Fruitland in April 2022, but they have been in business offering reliable mobile mechanical services since September 2021. Though they prefer to see you in person at their shop, they do still offer mobile services for some repairs from Cambridge to Fruitland and from Ontario to East Boise. When you walk into their shop, you truly feel at home in their well designed and decorated customer waiting area with free coffee, water and snacks, of course it also helps that everyone there is personable and easy to deal with.
Wicked Wrench Garage and Automotive employs two full time auto technicians and a full-time auto apprentice. The owner and managers, Brandon and Brooke Curtiss, have a combined 37 years of background in auto shop management, auto mechanics, auto body collision repair, and auto customization.
Brandon and Brooke are no strangers to hard work and fighting through tough times. Over the past several years they have had to endure and overcome not only the fall out of COVID and shutdowns but also their own personal struggles and downfalls. Brandon through his own choices and mistakes in life has learned that good men sometimes make mistakes. With this in mind he manages this shop the way he wished others treated him in the past, fair and positive but, most of all, he tries to be a shining example for members of the team. He is an example for others who have gone through similar situations that he has, an example that he hopes others having struggles in their life will find hope in. To help with that, Brandon has made it a point to try and help others by giving those who have made mistakes in their life a second chance, when possible, through employment opportunities.
Brooke has been in positions in multiple types of shops throughout her life and has endured criticism for being “a woman in a man’s world.” She has never allowed that to stop her from her goals of being the best at what she does. Brooke, now owning her own shop, can implement so many ideas she has had over the years. She takes pride in knowing that she might be giving young girls hope if they are interested in this field of work but scared of the criticism.
Brandon and Brooke are hard-working, selfless people who strive to give back whenever possible. They are involved with and on the committee for the Weiser Mud Drags, sponsoring the event yearly. The Wicked Wrench team believes in giving back to the community. They donate to the Fruitland Band, Weiser Band, and Weiser Cheer as well as many other causes such as the Festival of Trees at Weiser Memorial Hospital. The Curtiss’ donate their time to the youth in our area by volunteering to coach soccer for Payette County Recreation District and Weiser Recreation District. They also coach competitive softball with the Idaho Devil Dogs through the GALS softball program. They are dedicated to their children and the community in substantial ways.
This dynamic duo has proven time and time again that while you can’t move mountains, going over them is not out of the question. When the Curtiss’ decide to do something, they do it in great quantity and quality. It truly shows when you spend time with them, their employees, their friends and children. They are giving and loving of those they have surrounded themselves with and that shows in their business practices as well. At Wicked Wrench they really do treat every customer like family.
