My name is Joan Hernandez I am running for Payette City Council.
I have lived in Payette for five years with my husband and four kids. We moved from a small town in Louisiana when our home burnt down. This small town
has become much more than a home. It has become our safe place and our place of happiness.
I believe coming from one small town to another has helped me adapt well and bring some other ideas for helping bring our small-town community together. I am the American Legion Auxiliary President for Payette Unit #33 I serve our veterans often and wouldn’t imagine it any other way. They served us now is my time to give back. I am a substitute teacher as well where I serve our local youth and help them become young amazing humans in our community.
If I am elected, I will continue to serve our community, I will lend my ear to your concerns and see how we can fix them. I will be able to serve our community in ways that I am unable to do so right now. My goal is to bring everyone together for the best interest of Payette and to be the best we can be.
