Thursday, June 20th Weiser held their annual Kids Day downtown. Tots near and far were able to purchase tickets to play traditional carnival games and get yummy treats. Local nonprofits each had a booth with a game or treat such as hoop shoot, dunk tank, spin the wheel, an obstacle course, big slide, cotton candy and face painting. Local businesses got involved as well, donating prizes for the ping-pong drops. First Responders like, Weiser City Police, Washington County Sheriff’s Department, C.O.P’s, and Weiser Fire District also helped out during the Kids Day event.
Local business owner and organizer of the event, Patrick Namuan, shared, “Kids day went absolutely amazing this year! We had great crowds, the largest that we have ever had for everything including the ping-pong ball drop. I’m extremely happy with the community support and with the support of all of the nonprofits that show up to help make that day possible. I’m happy to report that this amazing community helped raise over $3500 during the event to go to all of those nonprofits.”
